Some important instructions candidates must follow while attempting the exam paper.

→ Five minutes before the start of the paper candidates will be required to break /open the seal of the test booklet.

→ Candidates should check that the test booklet code printed on side-2 of the answer sheet is the same as printed on the test booklet. In case of discrepancy, the candidate should immediately report it to the Invigilator for replacement of both the test booklet and the answer sheet.

→ Candidates must use blue/black ball point pen only on both sides of the answer sheet. Use of pencil is firmly prohibited. In case of violation, the answer sheet will be rejected and no correspondence would be entertained on this issue. After completing this stage, candidates are required to wait for the instruction of the invigilator.

→ The test will start exactly at the time mentioned on the admit card and an announcement regarding this will be made by the observer in time.

→ Candidates should mark only one option available to get the answer to each question.

→ During the examination, the invigilator will check admit card of the candidate to be sure about the identity of each candidate. The observer must also sign in the space available on the answer sheet on side-1.

→ Candidates must bring their own pens and make sure they are of good quality, as alternatives for these cannot be provided by the Council.

→ The signal will be given at the beginning of the examination and at half-time. The final alarm will also be allocated before the end of the exam, after which the candidate must stop marking the responses.

→ Students should check that the test booklet contains as many numbers of pages, as it has to be written on the top of the first page of the test booklet.

→ Students should also check the serial number and series of the test booklet, serial number and series of the OMR sheet. In case of any discrepancy, the test booklet and OMR sheet should be returned immediately to the invigilator for replacement with another set of the same series, presented in the examination hall/centre.

→ Candidates must sign two times on the attendance sheet at the appropriate place. First, immediately after the start of the exam, and secondly during transmission of the answer sheet to the invigilator along with the thumb of the left hand, the impression in the space provided in the attendance sheet.

→ Applicants must comply with all rules and regulations of the Board of Directors in respect of their conduct in the examination hall. Any case of violation will be dealt with according to the rules.

Madan Mohan Malaviya got Bharat Ratna award after death

Bharat Ratna

President Pranab Mukherjee presented the highest civilian award Bharat Ratna to the freedom fighter Madan Mohan Malaviya posthumously on 30 March, 2015. The family of this famous teacher was was present in the Rashtrapati Bhavan to take delivery of the award.

Madan Mohan Malaviya (1861-1946) was an educator and a freedom fighter, notable for its role in the Indian independence movement and his support for Hindu nationalism. He was President of the Indian national Congress for four times and even today, he is remembered as the founder of the largest residential University in Asia and one of the largest in the world with more than 12,000 students across the arts, Sciences, engineering and technology, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) in Varanasi in 1916, where he was also Vice-Chancellor from 1919 to 1938 . He was one of the founders of the scout movement in India.

He also founded the hugely influential English newspaper, the leader, published from Allahabad in 1909. He was also the Chairman of Hindustan times from 1924 to 1946. His efforts led to the launch of its Hindi edition in 1936.

Smriti Irani set up foundation of IIT, IIIT, IISER in Andhra pradesh

The Union Minister Smriti Irani laid the Foundation for three of the leading educational institutions- IIT, IIIT, IISER in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh on march 28,2015 which is famous for the temple of Tirupati Balaji.

“Though Tirupati is known as the world centre of pilgrimage in the footsteps of Lord Venkateswara, let’s give something unique to students across the country (through the three national institutions). I’m sure IIT Tirupati will compliment the dream and vision of our Prime Minister Narendra modi’s ” 100 smart cities’,” Irani said in her address.

IIT Tirupati will be created in the region of 590 acres in the village Meralapaka in Yerpedu Mandal near Tirupati in the Chittoor district and IIT Madras will be mentor to Tirupati campus. Smriti Irani also said that-“I am pleased to announce that IIT Chennai will provide engineering specially in smart infrastructure to be developed in IIT Tirupati, which will not only compliment the dreams of Andhra Pradesh, but will also complement the work of the PM, who urged the Union Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu to ensure that our country has “100 smart cities’

Venkaiah Naidu also expressed his views on the occasion. IISER Tirupati will firstly start its work from a temporary campus until a permanent one gets created.

UPPSC 2015: Dispute emerges with Paper leak

The question paper of Uttar Pradesh provincial civil services (PCs) preliminary examination was leaked on WhatsApp just before the exam was to start on Sunday morning. On the directives of the Chief Minister, the Uttar Pradesh government has cancelled the provincial civil services preliminary examination (UPPCS) following the incident and an enquiry has been launched to catch the culprits.

The Chief Minister summoned the Chairman of UPPSC Anil Yadav regarding the incident. The news of the paper leak surfaced when the first shift of the Preliminary exams was being taken by the authority.

As per the statement made by the Director General of Police (DGP) A K Jain- The paper was leaked on WhatsApp messenger at about 9.15 am, just before the exam which was matching with the original paper of PCS preliminary.

About 4.5 lakh candidates appeared at 917 centers across the state, including 70 000 candidates in Lucknow who took the test in 148 centers. As soon as the news paper leakage spread, students staged very big protests in the public service office in Aliganj.

Similar protests were also seen in Allahabad with hundreds of young people who gathered in front of the public service there to burn an effigy of the President of the group and demanding his immediate removal.

A number of candidates and their guardians was also protested in Kanpur. The opposition parties demanded a CBI probe and dismissal of UPPSC head in the light of an incident starting from 2013, when the controversial reservation policy was introduced by UPPSC, the introduction of caste-based reservations at the preliminary stage itself.

The policy was written off after violent unrest in the city and petitions in the Allahabad high court even as it is embarrassing Samajwadi party government argued that UPPSC acted without the approval of the government.

Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2015 cautiously scheduled to be conducted on May 10, 2015 in co-operation with COMEDK in Karnataka and Indian Statistical Insitute’s entrance exam. Eligibility Criteria:

  • Only Indian citizens are eligible for admission apart from NRI quota seats.
  • The candidates having compartment in 10+2 examination held in March 2015 will not be eligible for admission to the course. Candidates who do not appear in the PU – CET (BHMS) entrance test or who do not qualify PU – CET (BHMS) admission test must be taken into consideration.

MAH MBA/MMS CET 2015: Attention to incorrect questions

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra has made a significant notification for Maharashtra Common Entrance Test 2015 (MAH-MBA/MMS CET 2015) test-takers on incorrect questions and The MAH-MBA/MMS CET 2015 for Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master in Management Studies (MMS) took place in four sessions on Saturday, March 14 and Sunday, March 15, 2015. The percentage of students turnout in the exam was 94.56%.

there were 200 objective-type multiple choice questions (MCQs) in MAH-MBA/MMS CET 2015 from the subjects of Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude and Logical/Abstract Reasoning. The exam lasted for two-and-a-half hour test and carried maximum 200 marks with no negative marking.

DTE, Maharashtra had set up two committees consisting of experts – the Technical Committee and the Academic Committee after a number of complaints received from the MAH-MBA/MMS CET 2015 test-takers regarding incorrect questions and technical issues during the examination. The result of Maharashtra Common Entrance Test has been published by DTE Maharashtra. MAH-CET exam took place on 14th & 15th March 2015. CBSE Board exam 2015: Problems of mathematics paper raised in Lok Sabha

The “very tough” Class 12 CBSE mathematics question paper, which caused many students to tear in the exam hall, figured in Parliament as a member of Congress asking the government to think seriously about taking the exam once again. Students and teachers also demanded the same.

Raising the issue during the zero hour, K. V. Thomas, member of Congress from Ernakulam in Kerala, said math test will affect the future of many students in the country.

The government should take it seriously and efforts must be made to rope in experienced and senior people when question papers are being created in the future. Many students appeared in the exam and their teachers said the question paper was of “IIT entrance level“.

Mathematics exam was very hard. The questions asked on the exam were not direct. It was beyond our level and was equivalent to IIT-JEE test,” said Somil Pahuja, who couldn’t attempted many questions. She said that the Central Board of secondary education (CBSE) should re-conduct the exam.

Vertika Mishra said that the majority of students came out of the exam hall crying. Teachers also said that the exam was very difficult in comparison with previous years of testing and that their students were very disturbed.

The CBSE spokesman said that the Council have not yet thought of conducting re-examination of Mathematics. According to students and teachers, this year, the mathematics paper was about 50 percent of the questions on the basis of the skills of higher order thinking (HOTS), compared with previous years, when he was about 10-20%.

The Notification to fill SSC CGL tier 1 is postponed. It is expected that the notice and application for Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Combined Graduate Level Exam (CGL) will be on March 14, 2015 in accordance with the schedule published on the official website.

The tentative date of the filing and processing of applications for SSC CGL Tier-I is April 13, 2015 although the exam is scheduled for June 14, 2015 June 21, 2015 as per the dates specified on the website of the state statistics committee. All those candidates who wish to appear for SSC CGL tier 1 exam,  must have completed  a bachelor’s degree is any UGC.

Candidates wishing to apply for various posts in various ministries and departments of the government of India and in subordinate offices, should know that the Commission is adjacent the Department of personnel and training (Dopt), which consists of a Chairman, two members and a Secretary-cum-controller of examinations.

AIMA i.e All India Management Association is the National top body of the Management occupation in India. Every year, it holds and conducts Management Aptitude Test (MAT) for entrance of candidates to the highest B-Schools registered under IT belt. Similarly, AIMA-MAT is conducting tests for the forthcoming session on May 3 and May 9, 2015. The test acts as a help to B-schools to select candidates for admissions to MBA and related programmes. The candidates can apply until April 21. The registration procedure relating the sale of forms will finish on April 18.

The result for SSC Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Tier I exam has been published on the official website of the SSC . The SSC exam was held in 2014 conducted by Staff Selection Commission. GATE Exam Results 2015 To Be Declared, Download Score Card

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) have declared the result for their Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE) for the 2015 session on March 12.  The results  were published today on the official website.

 

Candidates should follow the steps listed below to know the result :–

→ Click on the tab ‘IIT gate 2015″,

→Insert registration number/roll number, date of birth;

→ Click on the Send button,

→The result will be displayed on the monitors. Candidates can view/download the result and save it for future use.

Marking for each wrong answer:

1/3 mark will be deducted from the multiple choice questions carrying one mark;

2/3 mark will be deducted from the multiple choice questions carrying two marks

For numerical answer type questions, no mark will be deducted.

Marking can be analyzed by checking answer keys. Gate score card, however, will only be issued to those candidates whose marks are equal to or above the qualifying marks of SC/ST/PWD candidates in this paper.

4. Exercise at least fifteen minutes a day. Yoga is the best choice. Light Jogging is also good. Eat something within fifteen minutes of exercise.

5. Take a small break for a few minutes every forty minutes. Stretch quietly for half a minute during breaks.
