UPSC IAS Mains 2016 Notification: Results Delayed

Recently a notification has been out for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) IAS (Indian Administrative Services). As per the notification released, the result for the Mains Examination has been delayed. Now it is expected that the result for the same will be out till mid of February, 2017. Candidate are advised to keep check the official website of UPSC i.e. www.upsc.gov.in.

The examination was successfully conducted from December 3rd to December 9th 2016 in two sessions throughout the country. Exam for the morning session was held from 9:30 till 12 noon. Session two was held from 2 pm till 5 pm.

Paper for Indian languages such as Assamese/ Bengali/ Bodo/ Dogri/ Gujarati/ Kashmiri/ Hindi/ Kanada/ Konkani/ Maithili/ Malayalam/ Manipuri/ Nepali/ Marathi/ Oriya/ Punjabi/ Sanskriti/ Santhali/ Sindhi (Devangari/ Arabic script/ Tamil/ Telegu/ Urdu) was conducted in the morning session on December 7th 2016. While the examination for optional papers were held on December 9th.

About the UPSC Examination: Every year, UPSC conducts examination throughout the country. The exam consists of three stages such as Preliminary examination, Mains examination which is followed by personal interview. Candidates who will successfully clear all the three rounds will be selected for the prestigious post of Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS).

President Secretariat Recruitment Notification released

Recently a recruitment notification has been released by President Secretariat. As per the notification, opening for the post of Mali Grade III has been released. There are total 66 posts. Candidates who are interested and eligible can apply for the post online in the prescribed format.

Registartion for AIIMS MBBS 2017 Exam starts

Recently, a notification has been released for AIIMS MBBS 2017. As per the notification, registration process for AIIMS MBBS Exam begins. Candidates who wish to enroll can get the application form from the official website of AIIMS i.e. www.aiimsexams.org. Last date to register for the same is February 23.

As per the notification, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS)- New Delhi is scheduled to be held on Sunday, May 28, 2017.

As per the notification, there are some eligibility criteria which every candidate must have to meet. Eligibility criteria are as follows:

Education qualification:

Candidates who wish to apply must be have scored minimum 60% in their intermediate exams from any recognized board or Intermediate science (ISc) or an equivalent examination board of with English, Physics, chemistry and Biology as subject.

Candidate who have appeared or are appearing at the qualifying examination are eligible to apply.

Paper Pattern:

  • Examination will be computer based examination.
  • Exam will be for 3 hours and 30 minutes.
  • It will be objective type paper consisting 200 question based on multiple choice and reason assertion type. Exam will be from the following subjects- Physics, chemistry, biology and general knowledge.
  • Exam will be of 200 marks. For every correct answer, candidate will get one mark and for every wrong answer, there would be negative marking.
  • No credit will be given for the questions not answered.

IOCL recruitment notification: 95 vacancies for engineering diploma holders announced, apply now

The Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has recently released a recruitment notification. As per the notification, IOCL has announced total 95 vacancies for the post of Technician Apprentice. The candidates who are interested and eligible may apply for the position at the official website i.e. www.iocl.com.

In order to apply for the post, interested candidates must have to meet the eligibility criteria which is set by the authority and is mandatory to meet.

Education qualification:

  • The candidates who wish to apply for the post must have pursued three years full time regular/sandwich diploma in relevant engineering.
  • The candidates with distance learning mode or part time mode or correspondence mode shall not be considered.

RBI Notification: Score Card out for RBI Assistant Prelim Exam, Check now

RBI has recently released a notification regarding the RBI assistant prelims examination. As per the notification released, scores cards are out for RBI Assistant Prelims examination. The candidates who have appeared for the exam can now their scores on the official website of RBI i.e. www.rbi.org.in.

 

In order to check the result, candidate must have to follow the below mentioned steps to avoid any discrepancy.

 

  1. Log on to the official website i.e. www.rbi.org.in
  2. After that, click on the link ‘RBI Assistant Prelims Score Card’
  3. After clicking the link, enter the required details.
  4. Click on submit.
  5. Score card will be displayed on the screen.

Note: The candidate who have successfully cleared the prelims examination, can also download the admit card for the Mains examination. Admit card will be available on the website till January 24th.

Selected candidates will successfully clear the examination; will be initially posted in RBI’s office within the recruitment zone for which they had applied. However, they are liable to be transferred in administrative exigencies to centres grouped and classified into West, South, North and East Zone offices.

UPSC Notification: CDS exam will be held on 5th Feb 2017

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is conducting the Combined Defence Services (CDS) examination on 5th Feb 2017.

UPSC conducts CDS examination twice in a year. This exam is conducted by the authority to recruit eligible candidate into the Indian Military Academy, Indian Navy Academy, Officers Training Academy and Indian Air Force Academy.

Minimum Qualification:

  1. For IMA and OTA: Degree of a recognised University or equivalent.

  3. For Air Force Academy: Degree of a recognised University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.

Application fee: candidates will have to pay INR 200 as a application fees.

Selection process: Selection will be done on the basis of written exam which will be followed by interview.

RRB NTP notification: Admit cards for stage 2 exams out

Finally the Railways Recruitment Board has released the admit cards for RRB NTP Stage examination. Candidate who will be appearing for the stage 2 examination can download the admit cards from the official website of Railway recruitment board i.e. www.rrbmumbai.gov.in. In order to download the admit cards, candidate will have to follow the below mentioned steps to avoid any discrepancy.

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released a notification regarding the online exam for special officers (SO) VI post. Uttrakhand Ayurved University Recrutiment Notification

Parag Havaldar, IIT Kharagpur Alumnus won Technical Oscar Award

Recently IIT Kharagpur Alumnus has won the most prestigious Award in Technical Achievement i.e. the Scientific & Technical Award Prize which is also known as Technical Oscar award . The award was given by the Academy of Motion Pictures and Sciences. This is indeed the most proud moment for the country.

Parag Havaldar is the one who won this prestigious award and made the country proud.  He is being honoured for the development of expression-based facial performance-capture technology at Sony Pictures Image works.

Prarag Havaldar basically works as a software supervisor at Sony Pictures Image works. He engages in the role to take care of the company’s efforts in the area of performance capture. The technology which he developed has contributed significantly in creating realistic character animations in movies like Alice In wonderland, Monster House, Hancock and Spiderman.

He will be presented with an Oscar on February 11th 2017 and main ceremony will be held on February 26th in the United States.

About Parag Havaldar and his achievements:

Parag Havaldar had done his BTech in computer science and engineering in 1991 from IIT. Parag Havaldar did his PhD in computer vision and graphics from the University of Southern California in 1996. The lists of achievements were announced by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

GATE 2017 Notification: Admit Card out, download now

Recently a notification has been released for GATE 2017examination. As per the notification, Admit cards for GATE 2017 examination have been released on the official website of GATE i.e. www.appsgate.iitr.ac.in

Candidates who have registered themselves can download their admit cards from the official website of GATE. As per the notification, GATE 2017 exam is scheduled to be held on weekends i.e. February 4th 2017, February 5, 2017, February 11, 2017 and February 12, 2017.

Gate examination is the gateway for Master’s degree programme. Examination will be held online i.e. computer based and will be held for 23 papers (disciplines). Candidate is allowed to appear only for one paper. Some papers for GATE will be held in multiple sessions.

BITSAT 2017 Notification: Registration Details And Exam Dates Out, Check Now

Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) has released a notification regarding the registration details and exam dates. Students who are interested and eligible may check the detailed notification on the official website of BITS i.e. www.bitsadmission.com . The last date for enrolment is March 6th 2017.

As per the notification, exam is scheduled to be conducted from May 16th, 2017 to May 30th, 2017.

The candidates who are interested will have to meet the eligibility criteria which have been set by the authority. Following is the eligibility criteria:

Educational Qualification:

First Degree programmes of BITS except B Pharmacy: Candidates must be having pass degree of class 12th from any recognised central or state board or equivalent with physics, chemistry and mathematics (PCM) and adequate proficiency in English.

BPharmacy: Candidates must be having pass degree of class 12th examination from any recognised central or state board or its equivalent with physics, chemistry and biology (PCB) and adequate proficiency in English. Candidates with PCM may also apply.

Selection Procedure: Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance. Merit list will be announced for the candidates on the basis of scores obtained in the examination of BITSAT -2017.
