A notification regarding the AICTE CMAT examination has been released. According to the notification AICTE CMAT registration dates has been extended for the third time. The examination is scheduled to be held on January 28th and January 29th 2017.
Previously last date for registration was December 15. All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has extended the application submission procedure till December 25.

Officials have set some eligibility criteria for every candidate which is mandatory to meet. Eligibility Criteria are as follows:
The candidate must be having graduate degree in any discipline from any recognised university or institute. Final year students are also allowed to register themselves.
In order to register themselves, candidate must have to follow the below mentioned steps:
- Log on to the official website i.e. www.aicte-cmat.in
- After that, Register as a ‘New User’
- Candidates are advised to read all the instructions carefully.
- Fill in all the details in a prescribed format.
- After that click on submit.
- All the candidates are advised to download it and get it print for future reference.
It is mandatory for all the candidates to pay Rs 1400 as a registration fee. SC/ST/OBC candidates need to pay Rs 700/- as a registration fee.
Pattern for examination:
Exam will be held for three hours. The exam will be held in four sections i.e. Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General Awareness. Paper will consist of 100 questions for 1 mark each. Negative marking will also be there for every wrong answer. One mark shall be deducted for every wrong answer.
Trail test facility is also available. The test will be available from December 15th 2016. Candidates can take the trail test so that they can be familiar with the screen, layout and navigation.
