The answer keys for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UP TET) for paper 1 and paper 2 has been published on the official website. The final answer keys will be released on February 25. Candidates can check the answer key from the official website: http://uptet.co.in.
UP TET was conducted on February 2 at about 1,128 centres. Over 9 lakh students appeared in this eligibility test conducted by the Uttar Pradesh government for recruitment of primary teachers in the state.
Eligibility criterion for appearing in the UPTET is graduation with a minimum of 50 per cent marks. Eligibility requirement for primary teachers is a two year diploma in special education (D.ED) . For upper primary class the requirement is graduation along with one year degree in elementary education (B.El.ED).
Those possessing the professional degrees like B.E, B.Tech, BCA and BBA cannot apply for this examination.
This exam qualifies the candidates to teach primary (classes 1 to 5) and upper primary (classes 6 to 8) in any government school and also to take part in privately operated schools in Uttar Pradesh. UP TET certification is valid for a period of five years; however those interested can reappear anytime.
