Assam government said it has joined hands with Curtin University of Australia for the development of higher education in the state. According to the official release, the government of Assam has entered into a joint partnership agreement with Curtin University in an effort to improve higher education in the state, mainly in the field of technological education and research.
In partnership, Curtin University will cooperate with the Department of education and Assam science and Technology University in the development and implementation of world-class Washington Accord accredited programs to improve the level of technology, education and research in the country,” it said
The chief Minister of Assam Tarun Gogoi assured all possible support and cooperation from the government Curtin University to pursue a collaborative and integrated research in the state. Gogoi asked to include agriculture and other natural resources within the study to ensure that the state’s efforts for sustainable development.
