For providing e-learning material for students and teachers, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has launched its latest mobile application ‘E-CBSE’. Union Minister for Urban Development M Venkaiah Naidu and HRD Minister Smriti Irani in the presence of the CBSE Chairman YSK Seshu Kumar jointly launched the new app.
This is additional to the resources already available for students through NCERT. This is an attempt to enrich the students and teachers by providing various learning and teaching resources to supplement and compliment curriculum transactions.
E-CBSE app forms a part of the ongoing Digital India. Digital India is a scheme by the Government of India to make certain that Government services are made available to citizens, electronically. It was launched on July 1, 2015 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. All CBSE books and learning material will be made available online for free as part of the Centre’s good governance efforts. With high-speed internet networks, this plan will be a boon in rural areas.
