The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) started an online facility termed as ‘Saransh’ to the schools affiliated to it as per an announcement made by the union Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister, Smriti Irani in Lok Sabha.
Smriti Irani highlighted the main features of ‘Saransh’ centering on suitable enlightening nurturing of students:
- It is available for classes IX & X, Problem Solving Abilities (PSA) in classes IX and XI and in Board examination in Class XII helping students to have a look of their performance in schools from Class X since 2007 and of Class XII since 2009 to the most recent educational session,
- Students can analyze their presentation in scholastic and co-scholastic areas at comprehensive level,
- All of performance metrics are offered by means of numbers apart from in charts for easy comprehension. Saransh assist schools to make comparisons of their performance with other schools under various categories such as All India, Regional, State and within their school category (Government, Private, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (JNVS) and Central Tibetan Schools (CTS).
This will be extended to the parents as well so that they can keep a close eye on their kid’s performance over the years. The facility enables school teachers and parents to monitor the progress of the student in an easy way.
