The AICTE or All India Council for Technical Education conducts Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) every year for admissions in all management programmes. The admit cards for this year’s exam will be released in the second week of September. The official notification is expected to be out in the first week of September. The paper consists of following sections:
- Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation,
- Language Comprehension
- Logical Reasoning
- General Awareness
The paper consists of a total of 180 questions, 25 questions in each section. The exam has a duration of 180 minutes which makes it so difficult and competitive. Candidates, be advised that negative marking is in effect in this exam just like any other competitive exam where one mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

CMAT is an admission test held at a national level for facilitating institutions to select suitable students for admission in all management programmes affiliated by AICTE. CMAT is one of the main exam for Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) programmes for the academic year 2015-16.
