Delhi University is all set to provide offer interim certificate courses in eight northeast Indian languages in a bid of its preparation plan for the heritage tour to that place in DECEMBER month.
The vice chancellor of DU, Dinesh Singh updated that the Linguistic department is making plan, configuration of the course and a plan of action to provide immediate courses in eight different languages of the northeast to as many as 900 students. The level of course will be basic. This travel will let students to enrich their knowledge about the heritage and culture of the northeast region.
The certificate courses will last for one month and will be available to all students whether they chosen for the train tour or not. The languages for the projected course consist of Tripuri, Arunachali, Manipuri, Nagamese and Assamese. Also, the university will provide foundation courses in Bengali and Nepali as these two languages are vastly spoken in Sikkim and Tripura.
