This is really shocking news. Unemployment is on its peak. More than 17 lakhs people holding very good degrees have respondent for the advertisement of IV grade (peon) posts in Uttar Pradesh.
It is throwing a sharp light on the level of unemployment as compared to literacy level in the state. From this, most socking is 201 candidates who have applied for the IV grade posts are holding Doctorate degree and approx 20000 candidates having master’s degree in various disciplines. And rest of the candidates have completed high school qualification. As per the number of total applications, there are at least 6318 candidates in battle for each vacancy.
For this IV grade posts, government had set the eligibility criteria as class 5th pass and ability to ride a bicycle (with the exemption for female and physically handicapped) to apply for the posts.
After analyzation of application data, total 53000 applicants were class 5th pass, approx 7.50 lakh candidates had the highest education qualification of class 12th. Around 11.21 lakh candidate have completed 10th class and around 8 lakh candidate had cleared 8th class and last bt not least, around 200 applications received from candidates who are holding PHd degrees and around 20000 candidates holding masters degree.
This has happened for the first time that very large number of applicant received for a small number of grade IV vacancies in the secretariat. Last time in 2006 when around 1 lakh candidate have applied for 260 posts of class IV category
