Expectations regarding DU cut offs

DU 2015 Admission Cutoff will be different for different courses in different colleges under the three-year regular programmes of the Central University. During the admission season of 2015, the individual Delhi University Colleges will be releasing their separate 2015 cutoff list and candidates will be shortlisted based on marks obtained in 12th standard at par required cutoff for 2015 DU admissions.

After declaration of DU Admissions 2015 Cutoff List, the affiliated colleges of the University will be declaring their separate merit list announcing the name of candidates at par the cutoff marks.

While taking a general response from the students about the expected cut offs for various courses, their seemed to be a common feedback about the cut offs being abnormally high. With a constant and huge increase in the number of students crossing the 90 mark, the colleges have no choice but to increase the cut offs further. Since they are already so high for a number of courses, the increase shall be only marginal. Some of the students complained about the lack of incentive and hope for students scoring in 60s or 70s. Only students with 90 and above marks have some hope to find a place in the limited number of seats offered, particularly for honours courses. The principal of Gargi College informed that cut off for both B.com (hons) and B.com (Pass) shall be expected between 95%-97%. For science courses too like Physics and Chemistry, the cut offs is expected to hover anywhere above 90.
