Interaction with school children is always refreshing. The enthusiasm of children & their curiosity is always gladdening.
The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi will interact with the school children on 4th September, 2015 from 10.00 AM to 11.15 AM at New Delhi on the eve of Teachers Day.
Students can participate in person as well as via video conferencing mode. Approx 800 students and 60 teachers from schools of Delhi will participate in person and several talented children from nation or from different states will participate in the special eve via video conferencing mode.
On this special occasion, PM launched a website for Kala Utsav to promote the art in education by nurturing and showcasing the artistic talent of school students in area of visual arts, music, dance and theatre.
Most of the personalities will also be the part of the special eve. Some are Union minister of Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister, Smt Smriti Irani; Shri Upendra Kushwaha – Minister of State for HRD (School Education & Literacy; Minister of State for HRD (Higher Education)- Prof (Dr) Ram Shankar Katheria and Sh Jayant Sinha, Minister of State for Finance.
The Prime Minister will also release a commemorative coin of Rs. 125/- denomination and a circulation coin of Rs. 10/- denomination in honour of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the great educationist, teacher and philosopher, on the eve of his 125th birth anniversary.
The programme will be telecast on Doordarshan (DD National and DD India). It will also broadcast live on All India radio (AIR).
