SSC Higher level secondary level exam- amendment in timings

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducted combined higher secondary level exam (CHSL) exam 2015. The exam will comprise a written objective type test with 200 questions 1 mark each to be attempted in 2 hours followed by Data entry skill test/typing test. Students who qualified the exam successfully will now have to go through another test i.e. Skill Test and a Data Entry Test.

SSC has recently announced that there is some amendments in the timings of the skill and data entry test for all the candidates who have qualified the written exam under the combined higher secondary level exam 2015. This test is compulsory for the candidates who have successfully cleared the written test and got selected for the post of LDC (Lower division clerks)

Scheduled for typing test

English typing test: Total time is 10 minutes. Speed should be 35 words per minutes within a total time frame of 10 minutes. Candidates who are visually handicapped would be given 30 minutes.

Hindi typing test: Total time is 10 minutes. Speed should be 30 words per minutes within a total time frame of 10 minutes. Candidates who are visually handicapped will be given 30 minutes.

Data Entry Skill test: new timings for Data entry skill test will be 15 minutes for all the 2000-2200 stokers or keys per depressions. Timings for the same for visually handicapped candidates will be 35 minutes.

Candidate can check the official notification regarding the change in timings on the official website also. There are number of books available for the preparation for this exam such as SSC Exam preparation books. These books are very helpful for the candidates in respect f paper pattern, marking schemes, syllabus etc.
