The Oxford University Press (OUP) has partnered with Centre for Teacher Accreditation (CENTA) to conduct Teaching Professional Olympiad (TPO) 2018.
From this year TPO is available in 21 subject tracks across Primary, Middle, secondary and Senior Secondary school levels. The Primary track (a mix of Language, Mathematics and EVS) is available in six languages- Hindi, Marathi, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu and along with English.
The main objective of CENTA is to provide an objective platform for teachers to test their skills and know their standing.
Everyone who participates will receive a Confidential Personalized Report, which acts as a professional development input for teachers and hence gives them encouragement and ownership to improve one’s competencies.
TPO has been able to give interesting insights into teacher’s competence and their potential implications on professional development.
For those who are keen on teaching, including school teachers, principals, supplemental tuition teachers, BED students and professional fellows in Education TPO is very relevant.
The participants include teachers from diverse school segments (government, private and low-income affordable private schools) and school boards (CBSE, IB, ICSE, and state boards)
