UPSC CDS (I) 2020 Notification:  Union Public Service Commission released an official notification, for Combined Defence Service (I), on 30th Oct. 2019. The notification invites all interested and eligible candidates to an online application, which began on 30th Oct. 2019.

How to Apply For UPSC CDS (I) 2020

Find the simple steps to apply for UPSC CDS (I):

  1. Visit the official website Upsc Online
  2. Read the instructions for filling up the online Application form
  3. Candidates should have one Photo ID, issued by the State/Central Government
  4. Fill the details and upload a scanned copy of the photo ID

Candidates are requested to carry the Photo ID while appearing for Examination/Test.

Important Dates & withdrawal of Applications

Listed below are the important dates, and withdrawal of application:

  • Starting Date for Submission of Online Application: 30 October 2019
  • Last date for submission of Online Application: 19th November 2019 till 6:00 PM
  • Last Date for Payment of Fee by Challan: 18 November 2019
  • Date of Written Exam: 02 February 2020
  • Withdrawal of Application: From 26.11.2019 to 03.12.2019 till 6.00 PM

UPSC Notification: CDS exam will be held on 5th Feb 2017

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is conducting the Combined Defence Services (CDS) examination on 5th Feb 2017.

UPSC conducts CDS examination twice in a year. This exam is conducted by the authority to recruit eligible candidate into the Indian Military Academy, Indian Navy Academy, Officers Training Academy and Indian Air Force Academy.

Large number of candidates has applied for the examination this year. Exam will be scheduled to be held on 5th Feb 2017. Organisation have already uploaded the admit cards. Candidates who have applied for the exam can download their admit card from the official website i.e. www.upsconline.nic.in

Minimum Qualification:

  1. For IMA and OTA: Degree of a recognised University or equivalent.
  2. For Naval Academy: B.Sc. (with Physics & Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.
  3. For Air Force Academy: Degree of a recognised University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.

Application fee: candidates will have to pay INR 200 as a application fees.

Selection process: Selection will be done on the basis of written exam which will be followed by interview.

Notification for UPSC CDS (Combined Defence Services) – II examination postponed

According to the official website of UPSC website, the notification of UPSC CDS (Combined Defence Services) Examination – II, 2015 has been postponed. Soon the notification regarding the new date will out. Given below is the official statement made on UPSC official website, i.e., upsc.gov.in.

Dated: 14th July, 2015.

Subject: Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2015.

“The Notification of Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2015 which was scheduled to be notified on 18th July, 2015 has been postponed and the Notification will be issued shortly.”

This examination is conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment into the Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Indian Air Force Academy for both men and women.

Usually the notification of the examination is usually released in the October and June and the examinations are conducted respectively in the months of February and November.

The unmarried graduated aspirants are only eligible to appear for the exam. The paper would consist of the questions from English, General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics. The candidates who become successful in the examination are admitted to the respective Academics after an interview conducted by the Service Selection Board (SSB).

Indian Military Academy / Officers Training Academy:

A degree from a recognized university or equivalent is must.

Naval Academy:

A degree of Bachelor of Engineering is must.

Air Force Academy:

A degree from a recognised university with Physics and Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering degree is must.
