How to Apply For UPSC CDS (I) 2020

  3. Candidates should have one Photo ID, issued by the State/Central Government

XAT paper remain unchanged

Xavier Aptitude Test or XAT 2016 is all India Management Exam conducted by Xavier Labour Relation Institute (XLRI). This exam is one of the highly renowned management colleges in the country. The XAT exam is conducted every year in the month of January. This exam is conducted for admission to management programmes offered by XLRI Jamshedpur and 212 there management colleges (including Goa Institute of management). The XAT scores are accepted by more than 121 colleges in India and thus it is one of the top management exams with more than 90000 candidates appearing in it every year.

For the exam which will commence in January 2016, XAT announced it schedule which candidate must keep in mind. Submission of application form begin 4th September 2015 and the examination will be held on 3rd January 2016

Exam Pattern:

The exam will conduct via paper pen mode for 3 hours time duration. The paper will comprise of four sections namely Verbal and Logical Ability, Decision Making, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation and General Knowledge. As per the marking scheme, for every correct response, one mark shall be awarded and for each incorrect answer. One-fourth of the total scored marks will be deducted.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. They should have Bachelor’s degree (pursued for duration of minimum three years) or equivalent in any discipline from a recognized university, either from India or abroad.

MAT 2015

MAT is one of the most popular competitive exams among MBA aspirants as it gets them access to a large number of best B schools in India. Also, the other reason that attributes to the immense popularity of this exam is conducted in 2 modes i.e. online and offline mode. So, candidates can choose to take either Paper Based Test or Computer Based Test as per their convenience.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidate must have graduation degree in any discipline from any recognized University or any equivalent degree. Final year student in undergraduate can also apply. There is no restriction in regard to percentages for taking the MAT test, no age bar and n experience required.

Important dates:

MAT exam is scheduled to be held on September 6 and September 12, 2015. Online registration is going to be close today i.e. on 22 August, 2015. Those candidate who wish to appear for MAT Exam and haven’t registered themselves yet, have only a day left to register.

Fee structure:

There is an application fees for MAT exam i.e. INR 1200/- which can b paid via credit card, debit card, net banking, demand draft or in cash at any nodal centre of AIMA.

Paper pattern of MAT entrance exam:

The exam will be conducted in two different modes, i.e. Online and offline. Total number of questions will be 200 of 1 mark each. There will be 5 different sections, i.e. Language comprehension, mathematical skills, data analysis and sufficiency, intelligence and critical reasoning, and Indian and global environment. Each section will contain 40 questions. There would be 22 sections across the country for offline mode with 2 setup in Dubai and Singapore and 12 centres in the country for online mode.

UGC NET 2015 is this year organized by Council of scientific and Industrial research (CSIR). CSIR is in all over the country and has great contribution in scientific and development and research in India. This is one of the top institution among the globally acclaimed scientific research center worldwide. As per the official notification, exam is scheduled on 20th December 2015.

Eligibility criteria:

    • Candidate must be having M.Sc or equivalent degree/ Integrated BS-MS/BS- 4 years/ BE/BTech/BPharma/MBBS. Minimum 55% marks is required for general and OBC Non creamy layer candidates and 50% for SC/ST, physical and visually handicapped candidates.
    • Candidates who have enrolled for MSc programe or having completed 10+2+3 of the above qualifying examination as on 25.8.2015, are also eligible to apply. Such candidates will have to submit the attestation format duly certified by the Head of the Department/Institute from where the candidate is appearing or has appeared.
    • B.Sc (Hons.) or equivalent degree holders or students enrolled in Integrated M.S-Ph.D. program with at least 55% marks for general and OBC (Non Creamy layer) candidates; 50% marks for SC/ST, physically and visually handicapped candidates are also eligible to apply

Candidates with bachelor’s degree will be eligible for CSIR fellowship only after getting registered/enrolled for PhD/Integrated PhD program within the validity period of two years.

The eligibility for lectureship of NET qualified candidates will be subject to fulfilling the criteria laid down by UGC. PhD degree holders who have passed Master’s degree prior to 19th Sept-1991, with at least 50% marks are eligible to apply for Lectureship only.

Paper pattern and duration:

Paper will held in two session i.e. morning (9 AM to 12 noon) and noon session (2pm to 5pm) which will consist of 5 subjects

  • Life science,
  • Earth, atmosphere, ocean and planetary sciences,
  • Mathematical science,
  • Chemical science and
  • Physical science

Paper will be of 200 marks in total. It will be MCQ based test. Exam will be of 3 hours.



Central board of Secondary education (CBSE) has announced notification for Central teacher eligibilityTest (CTET). Notification is published on the official website www.ctet.nic.in. This is to invite for young and eligible candidates who wants to make their career in this line. This exam is held twice in the year to grant eligibility to the aspiring teachers. Online registration has been started and candidates must have to apply on or before 19th August through official website. Application form is available via online mode only. The candidates who will qualify this exam would be appointed as primary level teachers for classes 1st -5th or junior level teachers for class 6th to 8th on the basis of their marks. Exam is scheduled on 20thSeptember 2015. Candidates for more info may check the below mentioned schedule:

  1. Last date to apply: August 19
  2. Last date of payment of fees: August 20
  3. Period for online collection of particulars: 21st to 25th August
  4. Download Admit card– 4th September
  5. Date of exam: 20th September

Eligibility criteria

For Primary teacher post: candifate must have done 12th class and passed or appearing 2 years diploma in elementary education (D.ED) or 4 years bachelors degree of elementary education (B.EI.ED) with minimum 50% marks

For secondary teachers: candidate must have done their B.A, B.Sc or BA (Ed) BSc and 2 years diploma in elementary education for the post of trained graduate teacher.

Fee :

INR 600/- for General/OBC category. If candidate applying for both exam then need to pay INR1000/-

INR 300/- for SC/ST category and if applying for both exam then need to pay INR 500/-

Exam pattern:

CTET will consist of multiple choice questions of one mark each. There will be no negative marking. This exam will conduct 2 papers. Paper 1 is for the candidates who intends to be teacher for classes 1st to 5th. Paper 2 will be for the candidates who intends to be teacher for classes 6th to 8th. Candidate may apply for both the paper also.

The duration of the paper-1 will be 2 hours and 30 minutes. The test consist of Child development and pedagogy, both languages, mathematics and environmental studies. All the five sections will consist of 30 MCQs each section and for 1 marks each question. Paper will be of 150 marks.

Duration for paper 2 will also be 2 and half hours. The test consist of Child development & Pedagogy, Both languages, mathematics or science and social studies or social science. The first three sections consist of 30 MCQs each and the fourth section 60 MCQs making Paper II to be of 150 Marks as well.
