Notification of LIC AAO 2020

The Life Insurance Corporation Assistant Administrative Officer or LIC AAO is a competitive exam conducted by the LIC to recruit candidates as follows:

  • AAO Generalist
  • AAO IT
  • AAO Chartered Accountant
  • AAO Actuarial
  • AAO Rajbhasha

The LIC AAO exam is conducted across the nation at designated centers. The LIC AAO selection process is finished with the declaration of the final result which is out usually of September.  LIC will release the LIC AAO notification 2020 in May.

The total no. of seats of the different positions is given below:

  • Assistant engineers: 50
  • Assistant administrative officers: 168

Please note:

  • The total no. of vacancies and reserved vacancies are provisional, they may vary according to the actual requirements of LIC.
  •  Candidate should only apply for anyone’s post. Applications made for more than one post will render all the applications of the candidate as invalid.

Important Dates:

  • Online Registration of Applications and Online Payment of Application Fee/ Intimation Charges starts from 25.02.2020.
  • The Last date for Online Registration & Online Payment of Application Fee/Intimation Charges is 15.03.2020
  • Call Letter for Online Preliminary Examination can be downloaded from 27.03.2020 to 04.04.2020
  • Dates of the Online Examination Preliminary (tentative) is 4th April 2020
  • Dates of Online Examination – Main shall be notified later.

Staff selection Commission informs employment of Sub-inspectors

SSC recruiment

Staff selection Commission (SSC) has invited applications for recruitment for the post of sub-inspector. Interested and suitable candidates can apply by 28 April.

Eligibility:

Educational qualifications:

Candidates applying for the posts have received a graduate degree from any recognized University/Institute.

Age:

20 and 25 years

Selection process:

Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performances in written test, PET and interview. Thereafter, the Commission will prepare India merit list, in that order, as many candidates as are found by the Commission to have qualified in the examination shall be recommended for appointment to the number of unreserved vacancies considering their options for the posts included in the study. The written exam is scheduled to be held on June 21.

Examination Scheme:

Paper I: (Two hours- 10 am to 12 noon)

Subject: No. of questions: Maximum Marks

General Intelligence and Reasoning: 50: 50

General Knowledge and General Awareness: 50: 50

Quantitative Aptitude: 50: 50

English Comprehension: 50: 50

Paper II: (Two hours- 2 pm to 4 pm)

English language & Comprehension: 200 marks: 200 questions

The deduction of 0.25 marks will be made for each wrong answer marked in omr answer sheet. Questions in both papers will be objective multiple choice type.

Physical Efficiency (Endurance) Test

For male candidates only

100 meters race in 16 seconds

1.6 kms race in 6.5 minutes

Long jump: 3.65 metres in 3 chances

High jump: 1.2 metres in 3 chances

Shot put (16 Lbs): 4.5 metres in 3 chances

For female candidates only

800 metres race in 4 minutes

Long jump: 2.7 metres (9 feet) in 3 chances.

High jump: 0.9 metres (3 feet) in 3 chances.

Weight: Corresponding to height for all posts

Medical standards:

Vision: minimum distant vision should be 6/9 and 6/6 both eyes without correction. The candidate must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and they should possess high colour vision.

They should be in good mental and bodily health and without any physical defect may hinder the effective performance of duties.

Finally selected candidates as part of the curriculum, have to pass seven obstacle events as mentioned below, otherwise they can not be stored into force:

Jumping over the vertical Board;

Holding the rope on jumping from the Board;

Tarzan swings;

Jumping on the horizontal Board;

Parallel ropes;

Monkey crawl;

Vertical rope.

Salary:

Rs 9,300-34,800 in Pay Band 2 with GP of Rs 4,200
