The Delhi government’s directorate of education (DoE) instructed all private schools to illustrate the criteria applied for nursery admission for the academic year 2015-16 which grants some relief to the parents.
A circular issued by Additional Director of Education Ashima Jain stated that all of private unaided recognized schools in Delhi should upload their criteria on departmental website “www.edudel.nic.in,”
As per the circular, all schools need to upload the information by January 3 and DOEs will monitor the publication of the information by schools and make it sure that all the work has been done by January 3. The breach of the order will be treated seriously.
On the issue of the admission of children belonging to economically weaker sections (EWS), food security cards issued by the department of food and civil supplies and consumer affairs by DELHI should be treated as documentary evidence for applying under EWS group in entry level classes of private school in Delhi apart from the income certificate issued by a revenue officer such as Tehsildar, BPL Ration Card or AAY Ration Card.
In a circular, The DoE, instructed to demonstrate a single list mentioning the names in alphabetical order of chosen common group and children belonging to EWS or Disadvantage grouping. DoE offered a link using which parents of the EWS category children may complain related to the admission process in nursery classes.
