The Staff Selection Commission has released a notification which will hold an Open Competitive Computer Based [CBT] Examination for the Recruitment of Sub-Inspector (SI) in Delhi Police, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) in CISF.

The SSC CPO 2019 Notification states that the Departmental candidates amongst Constables, Head Constables and Assistant Sub-Inspector of Delhi Police with minimum three years service, who are not more than 30 years (33 years for OBC and 35 years for SC/ ST) of age, may also apply for the various Departmental Vacancies of Sub-Inspector (Executive)-Male.

SSC- SI Exam – All you need to know!!

SSC ASI Examination Pattern:

i.            The question paper will be set in both languages i.e. Hindi and English.

ii.            Questions will be of objective multiple choice question on OMR answer sheet.

The SSC (Staff Selection Commission) has released the interview schedule for recruitment of sub-Inspectors in Delhi Police, CAPFs and Assistant Sub-Inspectors in CISF.

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is a Government organization responsible for recruitment of staff at various posts in various ministries and departments of the Government of India and in subordinate offices. It conducts examinations and/or interviews and open competitive examinations for recruitment.

Interview Call Letter released

The candidates who have qualified the written examination held in August, are eligible to appear for the interview.

The interview is scheduled to take place between December 7 and December 22 in Allahabad & Lucknow, Kolkata, Bangalore, Raipur, Guwahati, Delhi, Chandigarh, Chennai and Mumbai. 4165 candidates have qualified the written test and will be appearing for the interview to be conducted for different regions.

SSC declares the results for recruitment posts

Result for Group Mathematical Olympiad

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the results for the recruitment exams for the posts of senior scientific assistant, store superintendent, assistant epigraphist (dravidian inscriptions), senior technical assistant (geophysics), assistant archaeological chemist, technical assistant (mechanical) and technical assistant (electrical). All those applying for these posts can access their results on the official website. A selection of 71 candidates has been made for the above mentioned posts.

Candidates are required to follow a simple procedure in order to check the results. First, they need to visit the official website and click on the results tab. Thereafter, click on the link, ‘Result of selection posts advertised by different regions’. This shall be followed by the submission of the name after which the result will be displayed on the screen.

Here are the number of candidates who have been selected against the various posts:

  • Senior Scientific Assistant: 8
  • Store Superintendent: 1
  • Assistant Epigraphist (dravidian inscriptions): 1

Last Date extended to Apply for SSC CGL

SSC (Staff Selection Commission) announced a latest notification for CGL (combined graduate level) exam. Staff Selection Commission written exam for combined graduate level exam 2015 will be scheduled on 9th August and 16th August 2015.

Staff Selection Commission has changed the last date for online registration for SSC CGL 2015. Now the last date of closing of Part 1 registration is 09-6-2015 up to 5 PM and closing of Part 2 is 11-06-2015 up to 5 PM. So those candidates who had not applied till yet are advised to apply as soon as possible to avoid last minute rush. So in order to apply safely (as many websites crashes on last dates due to heavy traffic), candidates should apply before the last date 09 June 2015.

The Commission has received Government approval to allow the candidates fulfilling the age criterion on 1st January 2015 to also apply in response to the advertisement for CGL 2015 as one time measure. Earlier the age is to be calculated as on 1st August 2015

How to apply: Candidates needs log on to official website (http://sscregistration.nic.in ) and download the application form and submit it before the last date.

Eligibility Criteria: Completed graduation from any recognized university.

Selection Process: Candidates need to clear the written exam, interview and skill test. After clearing SSC CGL part 1 Exam, candidate can be eligible to appear for tier 2 exam, which will be held in the month of November 2015.

62,390 SSC constable recruitment: Admit card will be announced April 15

The staff selection Commission (SSC) had invited applications for recruitment of 62,390 posts of constables (General duty) in border security force (BSF), Central reserve police force (CRPF), Indo-Tibetan border police (ITBP), Central industrial security force (CISF), Assam rifles (AR) and Central Armed police forces (CAPF). Application for the same was commenced on 21 February, 2015.

Candidates who have applied will have to go through a selection process consisting of physical standard test (PST), physical efficiency test (PET), written examination and medical examination. Admit card for pet/PST is expected to release on April 15. Candidates can get admit card from the official website.

PET/PST scheduled to be held in may/June. However, no timetable has been announced formally.

Physical standards:

Height: male: 170 CMS, Female: 157 CMS

Chest: men only: Unexpanded – 80 cm, expanded: minimum expansion 5 CMS

Weight: proportional to height and age according to medical standards

PST/PET examination: women candidates will need to complete a 1.6 km in 8.5 minutes, while the male candidates will be required to complete 5 km in 24 minutes. Ladakh residents must complete 1 mile in 6.5 minutes (men) and 800 meters in 4 minutes (females).Those qualifying PST/Pet will be around to appear for the written examination held on 4 October. This should be accompanied by a medical exam too.

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the results for the posts of sub-inspectors in Delhi Police, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF’s) and assistant sub inspectors (ASI) in central industrial secruity force (CISF) on its official website. The website got crushed for some time due to excess amount of traffic. Candidates can check their results by following the steps briefly mentioned below:

→Go SSC results link
→Click on “results”
→Click on the “end result SI & ASI (Delhi police, CAPF, CISF) (Male or Female).”
→ The result will be displayed on the screen. Candidates are required to download the results and keep using it in the future.

Quantitative Ability:

The paper will consist questions on Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions, Ratio and Proportion. Allegation and Mixture, Average, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount. Relationship between Numbers, Fundamental Arithmetical Operations. Percentage, , Use of Table and Graphs, charts, Time and Distance. Time and work, Trigonometry, Geometry, roots, lcm and hcf, surds and indices (most of the topics same as tier 1 but higher difficulty level) and the total number of questions are 100 carrying one mark each.


English Language & Compression

English Language & Compression contain questions from Spot the error, questions on filling blanks, synonyms and antonyms, spelling error detection, shuffling of sentence parts, Comprehension passages, idioms & phrases, 1 word substitution. Sentence improvement, active & passive voices, Narration and the total number of questions are 200 carrying one mark each.


The paper 3 will have questions from topics like Measures of Dispersion, Probability Theory, Time Series Analysis. Index Numbers, Random Variable and Probability Distributions. Sampling Theory, Analysis of Variance, Statistical Inference and the total number of questions are 200 carrying one mark each.
