ICFAI University, Sikkim, announces admission to MBA Programme through Distance learning mode for the academic session 2015.

The ICFAI University, Sikkim is established under Section 4(2) of the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India University, Sikkim Act 2004 (Act 9 of 2004) passed by Legislative Assembly of Sikkim

Courses offered:

• MBA in Hospital Administration
• MBA in Pharma Management
• MBA in telecom Management.

The Program aims to give knowledge and understanding of the different aspects of hospital administration, pharma and telecom management. It also prepares the students with the skills, knowledge and strategic perspectives essential to the leadership of business around the world.

About the courses:

Duration of the course is minimum 2 years. The candidate is required to complete the MBA Program within a period of four years from the date of enrollment. Course is offered for the English medium only.

There are 4 stages in the course and 20 subjects in total among which, 12 subjects are common for all the three streams. And rest 8 subjects are specialized subjects which is different for all the three stream.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidate must have completed graduation from any recognized university or institute.

The examination is offered through CBT which is computer based test. Interested candidates can register online for CBT from its official website.

Many suggested books are there for preparation for the exam which we can buy online also. Such as MBA Entrance Books Online

Examinations are conducted four-times in a year in January, April, July and October.

How to apply:

Candidates are required to register from official website and fill the application form.

2. Copies of certificates of date of birth and educational qualifications.
3. Fee remittance form.
4. Demand draft/credit card merchant slip (wherever applicable) towards the payment.

Important dates must keep in mind:

• last date for enrollment for session April 2016- September 30, 2015.

UGC on July 1 discharged a list of 21 fake colleges, eight of them situated in Uttar Pradesh

University Grants Commission (UGC) released a list of 21 fake colleges across the nation, eight of them in Uttar Pradesh. Majority of the colleges listed have been found to be long runners but none of them have been closed yet which according to UGC, is because “it does not have the power to close any college”. “Our job is to inform children and parents in the admission session,” one official said corresponding to the release.

UGC added that these colleges come under section 22(1) of the UGC Act under which a college ought to be set up by a focal, state act or have regarded status under segment 3 of the Act. Section 23 of the UGC Act forbids utilization of word “university” by any foundation other than those set up under procurements of segment 22.

In the given list, seven colleges are in Delhi namely, Varanaseya Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya, Commercial University Ltd., United Nations University, Vocational University, ADR-Centric Juridical University, Indian Institution of Science and Engineering.

The states of Bihar, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal were found to have one fake college each. Maithili University (Darbhanga), Raja Arabic University (Nagpur) and Keserwani Vidyapith, Jabalpur are the fake colleges identified in the states of Bihar, Maharashtra and MP respectively.

Central University of Kashmir Admission 2015: B.Ed programme

Online applications are being accepted from candidates applying for regular admission to B. Ed programme at the Central University of Kashmir for the 2015 session.

Seats available: 100 seats (50 seats in-service + 50 seats pre-service candidates)

Duration of Program: One year

Eligibility standard: Graduation in any stream (3-years) with at least: 50% Marks for open category, and 45% Marks for SC/ST/OBC/PHC

Application process:

Teachers with as a minimum 2 years of teaching experience and having the necessary qualifications as mentioned here above, need to apply through proper channel for being considered as ‘Deputed Candidates. Teacher candidates are exempted from entrance test, if the number of applications received is equal to or less page 2 of 4 seats reserved for them. In the case of residual vacancies in in-service Category, the same shall be filled from Pre-service candidates

Pre-service candidates should complete the online application on the University website (http://www.cukashmir.ac.in).

Entrance Fees

  • General and OBC category: Rs.300/- to be deposited in the course of generated challan only ii.
  • SC/ST & PHC candidates: Rs.150/-

Exam syllabus:

  • Section I: Teaching Aptitude – 20 Marks; 1-20 MCQs
  • Section II: General English – 25 Marks; 21-45 MCQs
  • Section III: General Studies – 35 Marks; 46-80 MCQs
  • Section IV: Mental Aptitude and Reasoning – 10 Marks; 81-90 MCQs

Duration and number of questions: 90 minutes and 90 MCQs

Reservation:

Reservation available for SC/ST/OBC/PHC candidates shall be as stated by the Central Government norms and 50% seats shall be reserved for the in-service teachers of the state Govt.

BCom results after 24-day delay

BCom result out after 24 day delay

The results of third-year BCom semester V were declared on Thursday, after a delay of 24 days. Exams got over on November 28 last year, and the results were to be declared within 45 days. From 64,010 students who appeared for the exams, 65.28% cleared them, at size, similar examinations 2013.

Candidates, just over 5% received the highest score, the acting, the largest specific weight in the party, about 20%, received the rank. Some results were withheld as colleges do not submit internal assessment marks to the University on time, said examination controller Dinesh Bhonde.

Dean of the faculty of Commerce Madhu Nair has led elections as one of the main reasons for the delay in announcing the results. Also assessment and moderation should be done, along with lectures.

University of Mysore signs Pact with Japan varsity for research cooperation

University of Mysore seeks to extend its activities at the international level as it intends to join the League universities. On Thursday, it has signed a Memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Japan-based Hokkaido University for the promotion of research activities

Five-year Pact will allow the exchange of faculty and research staff, student exchange and sharing of training materials and publications. The Pact will focus on the life Sciences.VC K S Rangappa and President of Hokkaido University Keizo Yamaguchi signed a Memorandum of understanding, which can be renewed after five years, if one of the two universities decided to put an end to this.

Rangappa said that Japan University is one of the oldest universities and cooperation will help the two varsities to achieve high results in their studies and research.

Rangappa said about 25 students from varsity pursue their doctoral and post-doctoral studies in Japan.He said that students from Hokkaido University will come here, where some short-term exchange programs have been introduced to facilitate foreign students to participate in research in their subjects.

Yamaguchi Thanked the University of Mysore for collaboration, which, according to him, will contribute to the development of academic relations in the field of life Sciences. Meanwhile, University of Mysore leads a team of scientists from India, Japan and Ethiopia, which are involved in research for early diagnosis of cancer and lifestyle diseases, including diabetes.

Executive MBA Programmes at Delhi University

Delhi University Academic Council was unpredictably adjourned and then gathered again on Wednesday once again after several members had already left. Good News for 70,000 students, likely to get degree immediately

Nearly 70 thousand students of Rajasthan Ramachandran Jagadguru University of Sanskrit will soon get a degree as University Administration has begun the process of printing of degrees. Since 2006, the University did not print degrees and the students have been facing trouble because of that.

Now the University has issued a tender for the printing of outstanding degrees. According to the Administration’s, the process will get completed in this month and degrees will be distributed soon. This year, Establishment day will be organized in Sanskrit University.
