Defense Exam

The defense services provide noble, prestigious, and profitable career options. As an element of the defense services, one can provide service in the Navy, Army, or Air Force on combat duty, in the medical services, on administrative assignments, or in the Education Corps.

Every citizen of India, caste, irrespective of class, religion, and community is suitable to show for defense examinations offered only if they meet the criteria such as age, physical standard, and educational qualification. Every year, thousands of aspirants appear in defense exams to accomplish their dream of being a part of these forces.

Aspirants guard through the defense examinations in a country such as NDA, CDS, Indian Coast Guard, and AFCAT. The majority of the defense examinations are carried out by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission).

Categories of Defence Exam

NDA – NDA exam is performed for entrance to the navy, army, and air force wings of NDA and INAC (Indian Naval Academy Course). The exam is carried out offline two times a year.

CDS - It is conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) two times a year for admission to Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai (Madras), Air Force Academy, Hyderabad.

AFCAT – It is performed by the IAF (Indian Air Force). The exam is taken two times a year to choose Gazetted Officers in Ground and Flying Duties. Aspirants who are going for the Ground duty branch are asked to show in both Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) and AFCAT.

UPSC CAPF - The Central Armed Police Forces Exam is carried out by Union UPSC. The exam is held for recruitment of Assistant Commandants in the CAPF such as BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, and SSB. The selection procedure comprises of written exam, Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests and at last Personality Test.

Indian Coast Guard – It is carried out for the employment of Yantrik, Navik, and Assistant Commandant. The selection procedure of Navik and Yantrik includes a physical fitness test, written exam, and medical exam.

Territorial Army - TA chooses aspirants as Officers and Jawan. The employment to the Officers is done for Ex-Servicemen and Civilians. The selection procedure varies as per the posts.
