Intelligence Bureau

Intelligence Bureau is an exam conducted to recruit the most eligible candidate for the post of Assistant Central Intelligence Officer in the Intelligence Bureau. This exam is administered and monitored by the Ministry of Home Affairs. The eligibility criteria to appear for this exam is that the candidate must be between the age of 18 to 27 years and should be an Indian citizen. Candidates who have the basic knowledge about computers might get the preference over other candidates. The exam takes place every year between the months of June to August.

The IB paper is divided into two segments, the tier I and tier II. Both the tiers are of 1 hour each, making the exam for 2 hours in total. In tier I, the paper is in the online mode with objective type questions. Whereas, in tier II, it is a descriptive paper (English). Tier II also includes an interview after the descriptive paper. The candidate reaches the last stage after getting qualified from the written test, a medical test, and certain verifications. The written exam includes various sections, Quantitative Aptitude, Analytical/Logical ability, General Awareness, General Studies and English Language.
