STATE Police Exam

The exams are conducted by different government bodies to recruit candidates for several posts in the Department of Police. The staff Selection commission is responsible for conducting the exam every year. The duration of the exam is about 1 hour and 30 minutes. It is a computer based test which consists of 100 questions of 1 mark each, and the total marks are 100. The negativity marking for each incorrect answer is -0.25 marks. The subjects that the examination covers are current affairs or general knowledge, reasoning, computer awareness, and numerical ability.

The recruiting process is divided into two parts, the computer based entrance test and the physical endurance and measurement qualifying test (PE&MT). It is necessary to clear the entrance test to be able to qualify for the physical endurance test. The final selection of a candidate is based on the performance in the second stage, ie., physical endurance and measurement qualifying test. The eligibility criteria for the exam is very much simple. A candidate who has completed his 12th class from a recognized school and is between the age of 18-25 years is eligible to appear for this exam.
