About EPFO Exam

EPFO also known as the Employee Provident fund Organization is a national level exam conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for recruiting the candidates for the post of accounts officer, enforcement officer, and assistant provident fund commissioner. This exam is usually conducted in the months between May to June every year. The duration of the exam is about two hours and is divided into two different stages, the first one being a recruitment test followed by an interview round. The number of times the exam can be attempted is based on the category of the candidate. A general category can take up to 6 attempts to appear for the examination.

The EPFO paper consists of 120 questions with 300 as the total weightage of the exam. With every right answer 2.5 marks are awarded and with every wrong answer 0.25 marks are deducted. The paper consists of subjects like, General English, General Accounting Principles, Indian Polity, General Science and Computer, Social Security in India, History, and various others.
