Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET)

CTET is known to be one of the most prominent exams in the field of Education. CTET is conducted to recruit teachers in the government schools like, Kendriya Vidyalaya and Navodaya Vidyalaya. It is a national-level eligibility exam which is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). CTET is conducted twice every year, with two papers, i.e., Paper 1 and Paper 2. The candidates willing to teach the students of class 1 to 5 apply for the Paper 1 and candidates willing to teach classes 6 to 8 apply for the Paper 2.

The duration of the CTET examination is 2 hours 30 minutes for each paper. The paper 1 has 5 subjects with 150 questions carrying one mark each. Paper 2 also has 5 subjects, but offers options of Social Science and Maths & Science. The paper has 150 questions with one mark each.
