NTSE (National Talent Search Examination) is a national-level scholarship examination carried out by NCERT. National Talent Search Examination is carried out in two phases where the phase 1 examinations are conducted at the state level by state authorities and the phase 2 examinations are managed at the nationwide level by other states.
The exam is performed to spot and recognize the scholar candidate and help them get a scholarship. NTSE phase 1 examination for secondary school level aspirants will be carried out soon for which application or registration procedure has already begun.
Aspirants who have by now applied for NTSE 2021 stage 1 exam now must start their preparation too. Although most of the candidates continue their preparation all along with the school, several candidates totally focus on preparation by doing it a month prior to the exam.
NTSE is divided into 2 sections, the MAT (Mental Ability Test) and SAT (Scholastic Ability Test). Carried out in the offline mode, the paper has multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Candidates from the general category require scoring 40% marks to meet the criteria of the test while candidates from reserved categories need to score only 32% marks.

Best Books For NTSE SAT
Subjects like Physics, Maths, and Chemistry need lots of practice for which students have to solve each and every question given in their book. The number of questions in the NCERT books and State board books is not enough for good preparation. So, once students are done with all the NCERT questions they must look out for sample question papers. These practice papers will give them sufficient material to practice from.
Best Book For NTSE MAT
For the preparation of MAT, NCERT or State Board books do not offer anything. MAT is a standard part and calls for constant practice. For the MAT section, students should understand the verbal and non-verbal concepts, and then they must solve mock test papers to wrap as much syllabus as they can.
When aspirants are done with their academic books and mock test papers, they must devote their time to sample papers and previous years' question papers. This is the most efficient method to prepare for NTSE or any other competitive exam in general.
